International breaks always provide a certain amount of angst for the domestic clubs and their supporters alike.
We are proud to see our players selected by their home countries, but when a club like Arsenal supplies national teams with a large number of important players during these breaks, we hold our collective breaths and pray our men return in one piece.
Well, it looks like he is still in one piece, however, Arsenal and Norway star Martin Odegaard injured his ankle during Norway’s World Cup Qualifying match v Gibraltor. Odegaard did not play in the second half after receiving the injury around the 40 minute mark of the first half
Following Norway’s 3-0 win against Gibraltar, the team’s head coach Stale Solbakken confirmed the injury was “not serious.”
That’s good news for both Norway and Arsenal!
As always, keep your fingers crossed during the international break.
Cheers.
