The Gunners are heading to Prague for yet another “biggest game of the season.” The club needs a at least a one goal victory or a 2-2 draw over Slavia Prague on Thursday to win the tie and advance to the Europa League semifinals. If Arsenal does advance, their next opponent could possibly be Unai Emery’s Villarreal. Wouldn’t that be fun?
That aside, there is so much on the line for the Gunners on Thursday. A win would move them just three victories shy of a Champions League spot for next season. This would mean more money in the club treasury to both attract and then buy “star” players from Europe and around the globe during the summer transfer window.
I read earlier this week one opinion from a UK football writer. He said missing out on European football next season would be a blessing for Arsenal. It would provide them season of less games, and a chance to regroup.
I totally disagree! Arsenal needs European football. Not only is it in the club’s DNA, it is also would make the beginning of an even longer and steeper climb back to the top for this club. Missing out on European football is not an option.
So, with that said, I think Mikel Arteta needs to put his best foot forward tomorrow and start his best available XI. It’s really do or die time for this club.
Here’s my revised starting XI..
[4-2-3-1]
Lacazette
Martinelli, Smith Rowe, Pepe
Xhaka, Partey
Saka, Gabriel, Holding, Bellerin
Leno
Predicted final score…
Slavia Prague 1 – ARSENAL 3 [Gunners win 4-2 on aggregate]
COYG!

You are so awesome! I do not believe I’ve truly read a
single thing like that before. So great to find
somebody with some unique thoughts on this issue. Seriously..
thanks for starting this up. This site is something that
is needed on the web, someone with a bit of originality!
Wow! At last I got a web site from where I can genuinely
obtain valuable information concerning my study and knowledge.
When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added”
checkbox and now each time a comment is added I
get four emails with the same comment. Is there any
way you can remove people from that service? Appreciate it!
I was suggested this web site by my cousin. I’m not sure whether
this post is written by him as no one else know such detailed about my
difficulty. You are incredible! Thanks!
