It feels like Christmas Eve as Arsenal kicks-off the club’s 2021/2022 preseason today in Scotland at Hibernian.
Yes, I know, it’s only a preseason friendly, however, it will still be great to see the Gunners back on the pitch after a 51-day absence.
Hopefully, in the process, we will get to see some playing time for new signing Nuno Taveras, as well as our recently promoted to first team striker Folarin Balogun,
Obviously, there are still a lot of Arsenal players not in training camp, so this squad will not be the same group we see on August 13th, however, it’s still Arsenal and it’s still football!
With that said, here is the starting XI yours truly expects Mikel Arteta to put out today…
[4-3-3]
Nelson, Aubameyang, Pepe
Maitland-Niles, Smith Rowe, Partey
Kolasinac, Mari, Chambers, Cedric
Runarsson
