For the remainder of this season, Alexandre Lacazette should remain the club captain, and the leader of the Arsenal front line.
Even though the 30-year-old French striker will probably leave the Gunners this summer, his leadership seems to be working in recent matches, especially for our talented group of youngsters.
Our Arsenal youngsters need someone who will get in their face and demand more from them, not only during matches, but in training as well. In my opinion, Lacazette could be the man to provide this type of leadership. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was supposed to be that guy, but that no longer appears to be a possibility. Once the manager looses faith, the team will follow.
So, keep Lacazette with the armband, and keep him upfront as our lead striker. I think these two things would go a long way to keep our club heading in a positive direction for the remainder of this season, and, who knows, if this works out, maybe the club and Laca could work out a deal for him to stay beyond June 30th.
I just think if Lacazette is shone he has the faith of the manager and the players totally behind him, a lot of good things could happen for our football club!

Laca is a fantastic club man, striker and motivates the team, assists the younger players and brings total enthusiasm to the side.
I would offer him a 12 – 24 month extension.
I would try to move auba out at Xmas. Reduce our wage bill even if we have to subsidise a loan. Newcastle would probably snap him up. We need to buy a world class young striker on Jan 1.
