High drama was the order of the night for Arsenal who overcame a 1-0 deficit late in the game only to be saved by substitute Nicolas Pepe’s 82nd minute goal, and then the tremendous last minute gasper by Alexandre Lacazette!
Nothing could have been more exciting for Gooners watching on TV and for the those filling the seats at Emirates Stadium. The lads fought until the bitter end to earn the win and the three points. I wonder what Wolves thought of yesterday’s celebration?
Wow, what a finish!
Hats off to Nicolas Pepe who came off Mike Arteta’s bench to hit the equalizer, to Martin Odegaard for running his socks off, and especially to Alexandre Lacazette who showed the football world what that winning goal meant to him, the club and the fans! You would have thought he had just scored the winning goal in a major tournament by the sheer look on his face. It was really something to see. It was most definitely goosebump time in my house.
Thursday’s win established Arsenal in the Premier League’s 5th place position, just one point behind 4th place Man United, and four points behind third place Chelsea. The Gunners have games in hand with both of these clubs.
However, probably the most important thing to take away from the win over Wolves was the momentum this should give the Gunners going into the final stretch of the season. Yesterday showed to me just how dedicated these players are about getting into next season’s Champions League.
Unfortunately, we have to wait nine days before playing again. This is good because it gives our guys a chance to recover, however, it’s bad because we have such terrific emotion and momentum coming off of yesterday’s win. I really wish we had another match on Sunday or Monday.
Anyway, congratulations to Arteta and his team for a truly remarkable and memorable day for all!

David Ornstein is reporting Arsenal will be unlikely to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
According to World of Arsenal, the Gunners are expected to sign Real Sociedad Martin Zubimendi at the end of this season for around $61.2-million (USD).
How odd, losing 1-0, 15 minutes to go and Arteta puts two strikers on, and we win 2-1.

Arteta took a chance bringing Nketiah on, who for some reason many Arsenal fans dismiss as almost a nobody, despite his clear knack for scoring. Nketiah made a beautiful penetrating run which we see too few of our players do and lay on an excellent assist for Pepe. Personally, this is what I want to see more of from Arteta. As a player, he was ultra-conservative and passed almost exclusively sideways and backwards. But as a manager, after working on our leaky defence, he is willing to take chances on both youth, and a more attack-minded look to the team. I think Nketiah deserves a chance to start a game and Arsenal should do more to try and keep him at the club.
