“All or Nothing” is real “reality” TV!

With some reluctance, I decided to watch the first two episodes of “All or Nothing: Arsenal” on Prime Video, and, I must say, I’m sure glad I did. (The first three episodes were released today.)

Sure, it was tough to watch the first episode which highlighted the Gunners 3-game losing streak to start the 2021/2022 season, however, once you relive those horrible memories you experience a series that is really amazing.

This is real “reality” television. The passion, the angst, the emotion, the anxiety – all of it comes through the screen and into your living room, including a lot of f-bombs. Yes, this series is raw.

Obviously, Mikel Arteta is the featured character in the show. His ups and downs, pep talks, tactical sessions, training sessions, sideline managing – all of it is there to see how the boss handles the daily pressures of managing the Arsenal Football Club through a season of many peaks and valleys.

Also, hats off to the Prime Video production team who have put this series together. The storytelling, the writing, the editing, the photography and the music combine to send chills through your body.

Without giving a lot of it away, the second episode features a fair amount of time reliving the North London Derby on September 11, 2021. If this segment doesn’t get you excited about the future of Arsenal football, nothing will!

Bottom line, every Gooner should watch this series. It really is an up close and personal account of the 2021/2022 Arsenal club. You get to see the other side of the story, including the off-the-pitch side of the players, the coaches and the entire Arsenal staff.

I can’t wait to watch the rest of  “All or Nothing: Arsenal.”

The full episode release schedule is as follows:
  • Thursday, August 4 – Episodes 1- 3
  • Thursday, August 11 – Episodes 4 – 6
  • Thursday, August 18 – Episodes 7 – 8
