Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal squad will make the 1,900 mile trek north to play Bodo/Glimt on Thursday in the teams’ second meeting of this Group A match-up. The Gunners won the first match last Thursday 3-0 in north London.
The temperature in Bodo at kick-off will range between 43-49 degrees Fahrenheit, with a 90% chance of rain. Bodo is located just north of the Arctic Circle in northern Norway.
Arteta will probably play most of his “B Team “in this match to give his key skaters a rest before Sunday’s trip to Leeds United. I also think Matt Smith might get his first start with the first team.
With that said, here’s my predicted starting XI v Bodo/Glimt…
[4-2-3-1]
Nketiah
Marquinhos, Vieira, Nelson
Lokonga, Smith
Tierney, Tomiyasu, Holding, Cedric
Turner
Predicted final score: Bodo/Glimt 0 – ARSENAL 3
