Can I give a big shout-out to Ben White? This player has been phenomenal this season. As a center back he is a very good player, but as a right fullback he is sensational.
In my opinion, Ben White has been the surprise player for Arsenal this season.
White has started all 13 Premier League matches for Mikel Arteta. He has also started 2 Europa League matches, and was used as a sub in the other 4. Bottom line, he hasn’t missed a game.
As a right fullback, Ben White is not a flashy player, but he is always in the right place at the right time, both offensively and defensively. The man runs his socks off up and down that right sideline every match, and has fully committed to making Arsenal a better football club.
White’s only weakness is his lack of scoring. As a senior player for 5 different clubs, he has scored only 3 goals in 184 appearances. As a member of Gooner Nation, nothing would make me happier than to see him find the back of the net.
If England manager Gareth Southgate does not chose Ben White to be a member of his World Cup squad, I think it will be a complete TRAVESTY.
At the end of the day, Ben White is a sensational footballer, and will do great things for club and country, if given the chance.
Cheers.
