Yes, things just got a little more difficult after the Gunners produce back-to-back draws.
A lot has been talked and written about concerning Arsenal blowing 2-0 leads in consecutive weeks, yet no one has really found the reason, except, I suspect, for one man.
I am sure Mikel Arteta is addressing that very issue right now with his squad and with his coaching staff. I really believe we won’t see that happen again this season. The stakes are too high, and the title race has become too tight for any more of those types of slip-ups. We need wins, not draws, for the rest of the season.
The Gunners need to quickly develop a killer instinct. After scoring two goals within the first ten minutes on Sunday, the lads seemed to forget they still had 80 minutes to play. This is the Premier League, so no club is going to roll over and play dead in this league. West Ham United had nothing to lose on Sunday, so they took it to Arsenal and came back to earn a 2-2 draw v the league leaders.
Now, it still looks like Arsenal still has the fixture advantage, maybe not in the Premier League, but overall. Remember, Manchester City is still completing in the Champions League and in the FA Cup, which means more multiple matches in multiple weeks. Hopefully, this will provide the Gunners with a little extra edge. Time will tell.
Finally, I would hope that no member of Gooner Nation was among the individuals who racially attacked Bukayo Saka on line because he missed a penalty kick on Sunday v West Ham United. Are you kidding me? How low came you go? If you are one of those losers, and are reading this, the bottom line is this – Gooner Nation does not want you among us! Period! I hope they find you and give you a lifetime from ever attending another football match in England.
To the rest of the loyal and upstanding members of Gooner Nation, stay positive and be supportive. The title can still be ours come May 28th.
COYG!
