Fabrizio Romano claims, “Here we go”

FINALLY, after what seems to be an endless summer of negotiations, the back and forth, and then the Manchester City drama, Declan Rice will finally become a Gunner!

This is some of the best transfer news to hit our north London club in recent years. Now, that’s not taking anything away from other recent transfers to Arsenal, it’s just that no other negotiation has had this much money, drama or expectations resting on the final outcome.

For me, Declan Rice will be a huge uptick for this club, not only with his playing abilities, but with also his leadership skills and maturity as a Premier League vetran.

He brings a lot to the table, and Arsenal supporters can not wait to watch the feast!

With that said, the man who has had the best information during the Declan Rice negotiations has been Italian football journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Truly, I don’t think the man ever sleeps, especially during a transfer window,

Here are his most recent quotes on the Declan Rice signing…

Fabrizio Romano, “Declan Rice to Arsenal, here we go! Deal in place between Arsenal and West Ham and Gunners get their top target. $100-million (USD) plus $5-million (USD) add-ons. It’s the most expensive signing ever for Arsenal, and most expensive English player ever. Arteta and Edu, crucial to make it happen.”

“Key factor to this deal is Declan Rice did not want to go to any kind of  ‘plastic club.’ His father, Sean Rice, is very critical of Manchester City. Rice wants a relationship with the fans, he sees passion in the Arsenal Football Club. Deal sealed, here we go confirmed.”

The Italian football journalist went on to say, “Mikel Arteta and Gaspar Edu, they never lost their patience at the key points in this story. When Manchester City entered the race, Arsenal didn’t panic, they decided to wait and then send in their best proposal. The strategy was very clear. They decided back in January that Rice would be their top target, and now they’ve go their man after long and complicated negotiations.

“I’ve also been saying in the last couple of weeks that if Rice becomes an Arsenal player, it’s going to be thanks to Arteta, behind the scenes. He’s been pushing and explaining to Rice just how crucial he’s going to be to the project, on and off the pitch. Rice was really attracted to the plan. Arteta also pushed internally with the directors and owners to give him this signing.”

HERE WE GO!

Cheers!
