Euro 2024 is over. Spain is the champion, England loses their consecutive European championship final, and Gareth Southgate has resigned as team manager. David Raya will return to north London with a winner’s medal, while Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Aaron Ramsdale will not. But that, my friends, is football!
I really enjoyed watching the tournament, and in the end, I think the best team won. Spain put together a fantastic team, played a terrific tournament, and ultimately came back to Madrid with the cup in hand.
Now, it’s back to work for the Arsenal players who did not participate in the Euros. Training camp opened yesterday. The team will get prepared for the USA Tour which begins on the 24th in Los Angeles.
Th Euro players will incrementally return once they get the required amount of rest following a long 2023/2024 campaign.
The transfer market is still brewing, and I think we can count on the Gunners making some announcements beginning in the next week or two.
Until then, cheers!
