With the heat reaching into the 90’s in southern California on Monday, the Gunners began preparations for their three-game swing in the United States over the next eight days.
Mikel Arteta was pleased with his squad’s workout claiming, “It’s not a surprise because they are a dream of a team to work with.”
Arsenal plays Bournemouth on Wednesday at Dignity Health Sports Park in LA, then two days later v Manchester United in San Kroenke’s LA’s Sofi Stadium. The Gunners close-out their USA tour with a match in Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field v Liverpool on the 31st before heading back to the friendly sights and sounds of London Town.
Arsenal opened the preseason with a closed door friendly v League One club Leyton Orient. The Gunners coasted to a 2-0 win behind goals from Gabriel Jesus and Emile Smith Rowe.
This will, hopefully, be a season for Gooner Nation to remember. After two close back-to-back second place finishes in the Premier League, Arteta has moved the club forward with large leaps in his plan to bring the Arsenal glory days back to Emirates Stadium. This season, we want trophies!!!
Remember, all of the USA matches will be streamed live on Arsenal.com.
Cheers.
