The highs and lows of Match Day 2

Saturday’s match v Leeds United was 90 minutes of pure joy mixed with worry and concern.

Let’s start with the pure joy first, shall we?

  • New Gunner Eberechi Eze is introduced to the Emirates crowd prior to kick-off.
  • A spectacular 5-0 win over Premier League returning club Leeds United.
  • Jurrien Timber is Man of the Match scoring two goals.
  • Viktor Gyokeres silences his credics with a brace of his own.
  • Max Dowman is impressive in his 30 minutes on the pitch. He plays like 15 going on 25.
  • A second clean sheet of the season for the Gunners defense and for David Raya.

Now, the worry and concern…

  • Captain Martin Odegaard goes off with a shoulder injury before halftime.
  • Wonderboy Bukayo Saka goes off in the second half with a hamstring injury.
  • No Ben White or Christian Norgaard on the bench Saturday due to injures as well.

It was a great win, but bittersweet as well.
