It goes without saying the acquisition of Pablo Mari is very exciting at first glance. The Brazilian seems to possess all of the qualities Arsenal currently needs at center back, however, there are still holes to fill on the squad.
In my opinion, Arsenal needs to sign at least two or three more players this transfer window.
In a perfect world I would start with Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez. This midfielding maestro has the playmaking abilities we need to create more goal scoring opportunities.
Thomas Lemar is still available at Atletico Madrid. He can play midfield and wing. He’s got some juice left so I think he might be a plus signing as well.
I would also continue to bolster the defensive back and sign either Layvin Kurzawa or Mykola Matviyenko. Matviyenko would be my first choice as he seems to be more reliable.
With that said, there are still few Gunners who could leave the Emirates this week. Mustafi could and should go, plus, The Washington Post is reporting DC United has strong interest in bringing Mesut Ozil to the U.S. to play in the MLS. And, of course, the transfer saga of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continues. PSG is now the team rumored to be after our goal scoring talisman.
5 days and counting. That’s get this drama over with. The sooner, the better!
Cheers. Gunner1953
