The Premier League has reportedly laid out their plan to re-open, and then finish the 2019-2020 season.
Here is their plan as reported by the Times…
The season will resume playing matches on June 8th.
All games will be played behind closed doors, with only 400 essential personnel allowed inside the stadium. All 400 would have to test negative for the virus.
A stadium would have to be tagged as a “safe ground” before a game could be played in that stadium.
The 2019-2020 season will end by July 27th.
The 2020-2021 season will begin on August 22nd.
Obviously, everything is contingent on the final approval of the British government and health authorities.
Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 on Saturday in the Premier League to notch the club’s 2,000th top-flight win.
Leicester City has sacked manager Steve Cooper following only two Premier League wins this season.
Manchester City has lost five matches in a row in all competitions while being outscored 4 to 14. City will play Liverpool at Anfield on December 1st.
