I have been watching pieces and parts of the Bundesliga matches today on Fox Sports, and I must say it’s great to see live football again.
However, it is quite a different experience. It’s weird watching a match with zero fans in the seats, plus hearing the hollow echo inside the stadiums is so very different than hearing supporter chants and seeing flags wave in the background.
This folks, is the new normal for watching football on TV. At least for now!
It is kind of cool to hear players yelling out instructions to teammates. The best comparison I can make is that it’s like watching a televised preseason training match with no crowd.
However, with or without fans, these games count. It’s better than having no football at all, but it will take a while to adjust to this new normal for watching football on TV!
Cheers, and stay healthy!
