Did anyone just watch Bayern Munich destroy Barcelona in the Champions League quarterfinal?
The final 8-2, and it could have been a lot worse. I mean this was an old fashion butt kicking!
And boy, did Philippe Coutinho put on a show! After coming in around the 74th minute, Coutinho exploded with an assist, followed by two goals.
The strange thing about this was that he played and scored against the team who owns his contract, Barcelona. The Brazilian playmaker has been on loan with the Bayern Munich this season and UEFA rules do not allow clauses preventing loanees from playing against the team who owns them.
So, after watching this impressive performance by Coutinho, either Barcelona will re-evaluate his great potential, or he will hit the market in maybe a better position than he had before this game.
Anyway, I hope Arsenal watched, and saw what Coutinho could do for the Arsenal attack.
Cheers!
