Dear Nigerian supporters of Arsenal and Yankee Gooner,
Every day I take a look at the analytics for my website to see where my readers are coming from. The United States and United Kingdom are usually #1 and #2, and almost without fail, Nigeria is #3.
At first, I was quite surprised by those numbers, but after doing some research I soon realized why Nigeria has such a connection to the Arsenal Football Club.
Former Arsenal great Nwankwo Kanu hails from your great African nation of 196 million people.
Today, Bukayo Saka represents your nation on the Gunners first team. Eventhough he was born in England, his ancestry is Nigerian.
I have not been to Nigeria myself, however, the videos and photos of your country are breathtaking, and your culture and people are amazing!
Thank you for being such avid readers of Yankee Gooner. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have anyone read my websites outside the US, however, to have such a loyal group of Nigerian Arsenal supporters reading YG is incredible!
Your thoughts, opinions and suggestions are always welcome!
Cheers, stay healthy and safe…..and COYG!
