Is it just me, or does this transfer window seems like it’s been open for two month already? Only 38 days to go!

Okay, so far Arsenal has Willian in the fold, and Gabriel seems to be just days away from having his official Arsenal photo taken. However, the rest of our signees or transfer hopefuls remain just that…hopefuls.

Let’s go through the list of hopefuls…
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – deal or no deal? Maybe his father knows best?
Dani Ceballos – staying at Real Madrid or coming back to Arsenal?
Thomas Partey – does the Gunners have enough cash to make this deal happen?
Houssem Aouar – does the player really want to leave Lyon?
Philippe Coutinho – Barca’s new boss wants hime to stay, but reports say the midfielder wants to go. Does anyone really know?

Then there is the list of Arsenal players currently on the Arteta bubble…

When you break it down this way, you get a sense for what Arteta is trying to do with this club. The list of guys we know will be here is pretty good. He is trying to set-up for the future, both short term and long term.

Now, if Arsenal can only get Aubameyang and Partey to sign, and then add either Ceballos or Aouar to the midfield, I think this would be a solid transfer window for the Gunners.

Regarding the “bubble” list, the future of Lacazette would depend on Aubameyang. If Auba stays, Laca goes, and vice versa. Then, I would keep AMN, Kolasinac, Chambers, Elneny, and Martinez. I think the rest of that list should be shopped to the highest bidders. Ozil should stay too, however, there is a snowball’s chance in hell that Arteta will find a spot for him in this season’s plan.
