The pieces are coming together as Mikel Arteta continues to get his squad in place for the 2020-2021 season.
Midfielder Dani Ceballos has rejoined Arsenal on a one-year loan from Barcelona.
Dani will again wear the number 8, and will surely be a key player in the middle of the park for Arteta’s team this season.
Arsenal technical director Edu told Arsenal.com, “We’re thrilled to have Dani back with us for the new season. We all know his qualities after an impressive 2019/2020 campaign, which ended with him playing a key role in our FA Cup success. We’re excited to add Dani to the list of quality players we are bringing in.”
Mikel Arteta told the Arsenal website, “Dani was an integral part of our team last season and finished the season in excellent form. I love Dani’s passion and commitment and he’s a highly skillful player. We’re all delighted to welcome him back and we look forward to seeing him pick up where he left off.”
In 24 appearances for the Gunners last season, Ceballos had two assists, and was especially tenacious in the midfield, both offensively and defensively.
Since the end of the season, Ceballos was rumored to be either staying at Real Madrid, or heading off to his boyhood club, Real Betis.
It’s great to have him back at the Emirates again this season, and we look forward to many great performances!
Now, does Arsenal have enough cash to sign Aubameyang, Partey and Aouar? What a summer that would be if they could pull that off!
