We are only a week away from Arsenal returning to the pitch! We know these international breaks are necessary for the national teams but these two weeks just seem to drag on and on and on. I need my Gunner fix.
One week from today our lads will travel to Sheffield United for the first Premier League encounter between these two clubs in 12 years. The Blades are currently 13th in the PL table with a 2-3-3 record. Earlier this season Sheffield United held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw and then lost to Liverpool only 0-1. It’s obvious this promoted side can play with the big boys.
For Arsenal the two week break has allowed some of our key players to get healthy. Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney should be fit and eager to go, while Alexandre Lacazette has been back in full training as well. Our players on international duty have faired well so far too. Let’s hope they all return to London ready to resume the club’s campaign.
As for the on-going saga of Mesut Ozil…reports from the UK say his $10 million mansion is on the market. We would have to assume Ozil is on the market too.
