We haven’t recently discussed the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on football, however, it’s pretty hard to ignore the subject today since one of Arsenal’s top players is now in quarantine.
Kieran Tierney is in self-isolation after being exposed to Scotland teammate Stuart Armstrong, who has tested positive for the virus. This means KT will miss all of Scotland’s international games this week and next. He will also miss Arsenal’s October 17th game at Manchester City.
The 23-year-old fullback has tested negative for the virus, but due to his exposure to Armstrong, he is required to remain in quarantine for 14 days.
We will assume Sead Kolasinac will step in for Tierney at left fullback for Arsenal until the Scotsman is cleared to return to the club.
Manchester City has lost five matches in a row in all competitions while being outscored 4 to 14. City will play Liverpool at Anfield on December 1st.
