It looks like Golden and Tierney have something in common when dealing with adversity – hard work.

After two days of crying in our beer, looking for someone to blame, and pointing fingers at the manager, it’s time [once again] to look ahead and hope tomorrow is a brighter day, with a better outcome.

I’m not sure Southampton is currently the club Arsenal needs to be facing right now, however, most of us thought Burnley was the perfect team to play as the Gunners looked to reboot the season. Right? Right. So, here we are looking at Theo Walcott and Southampton rolling into Emirates Stadium on Wednesday for a Premier League mid-week clash.

The Saints are currently 4th in the Premier League table, and have lost only once in their last ten league matches. They will use a high press, and when they have possession they will pass the ball quickly and efficiently. Southampton has scored 24 league goals this season, while giving up 17.

Will Mikel Arteta change up his side tomorrow? Following the Burnley defeat he said, “We have shaken things up in other games and sometimes it has worked and other times it hasn’t. I pick the team that gives us the best possibility to win the game.”

It’s hard to say what’s going through the manager’s head right now, but if I was in charge, here’s who I would start v Southampton…

I’m sure the team is working hard in their preparations for Southampton, and we must give them credit for working hard in recent matches, too.
