It wasn’t our best, no our worst, however, the Gunners did pick-up a point in yesterdays scoreless draw v Crystal Palace.
Most of the match was a pretty dull display of football, however, at the end of the day Arsenal did control the majority of the ball, had more shots on target and
Bernd Leno recorded his fourth consecutive shutout.
Even with all those plusses, the Gunners picked up only one point and remain in 11th place in the Premier League table.
Mikel Arteta even sad post-game, “A clean sheet is positive, but we want all three points.” Arteta also blamed some of the draw on fatigue with many of his players feeling tired after a busy run of games.
Pablo Mari and Kieren Tierney also picked up knocks before the match, so David Luiz and Ainsley Maitland-Niles were called to duty.
Newcastle played better in the first half, and Arsenal was best in the second, but neither team could break through for a game winning goal. Thus, 0-0!
So, now the team has until Monday to figure out what went wrong at Palace, and find away to get the goals flowing.
Like David Luiz said, “Clean sheets are great, but wins are better.”
