Arsenal heads to historic Kenilworth Road

The last time Arsenal played Luton Town at Kenilworth Road was on December 26, 1991. The Gunners lost that affair by a 1-0 score.

32 years later, Luton Town is still playing at Kenilworth Road, a ground that is unquestionably the Premier League’s smallest, holding only 10,356 supporters.

With that said, Arsenal heads to Luton Town on Tuesday for a Premier League showdown with the Hatters, who currently stand 17th on the league table.

Even though one would think this to be a routine match for Mikel Arteta’s squad, Luton Town will not roll over and let Arsenal pound them into the ground. The Hatters are a proud team, and play hard to represent their club and its supporters.

Arteta remarked about what he told his team about Luton Town in Monday’s press conference, “They know. We have already warned them, they know what to expect. They know about the atmosphere and they know about the access. They know everything, and especially they have to know about the team that they have to face tomorrow and the difficulties we are going to have to play against them, and as well what the opportunities are for us to win the game.” [Courtesy of Arsenal.com]

Since the Gunners are currently 2 points ahead of Liverpool at the top of the league table, these 3 points will mean everything to our north London club.
