Arsenal is primed and ready to start the 2022/2023 season!

The tune-up matches are now over, and in just six days the games begin to count!

However, with that aside, this has been a terrific preseason for the Arsenal Football Club, culminating today with a 6-0 win over a very good Sevilla side from La Liga.

In seven preseason matches, 6 wins, 0 draws and 1 defeat, and the goal differential, an amazing +19.

With the final preseason match played at Emirates Stadium for the Emirates Cup, Jesus Gabriel banged in his first Gunner hat trick, Bukayo Saka contributed a brace, and Eddie Nketiah knocked one in for good measure as Arsenal played a complete match, start-to-finish.

Without question, it looks like Mikel Arteta has found his starting XI for Friday’s match at Selhurst Park. With Kieran Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Fabio Vieira and Emile Smith Rowe just retuning to training late last week, the boss, without a doubt, will start the following squad v Crystal Palace: Ramsdale, Zinchencko, Gabriel, Saliba, White, Xhaka Partey, Odegaard (c), Martinelli, Jesus and Saka.

This is the same line-up Arteta featured in the 4-0 and 6-0 wins v Chelsea and Sevilla, respectively.

Kudos to Edu Gaspar, and to Arteta as well, for conducting a terrific summer transfer window, and, it appears they aren’t done just yet. Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the Gunners, and there are rumors that a a new wingman could be no his way to north London as well.

For me, this is the first year in many years, I truly believe Arsenal is primed and ready for the start of a Premier League season.

Personally, I wish Friday was here tomorrow. This is going to be a long week waiting for kickoff, however, along with all of you, I must be patient and wait.

This should be one helluva ride!

COYG!
