To all Gooners everywhere, I hope you have a very Happy New Year 2020! Please be safe, but also enjoy yourselves as we turn the page to the beginning of a new decade!
So, what can we expect from the Gunners in 2020? Let’s have some fun and make some predictions, and a few New Year’s resolutions, too.
First, the predictions…
The Premiere League: Arsenal will claw their way to a 7th place finish.
The Europa League: Arsenal will be eliminated in the semifinals.
The FA Cup: Arsenal will be eliminated in the quarterfinals.
Mustafi will stay in January because we have no cover at center back.
Ozil will stay in January because no one else will pay his current wages.
Aubameyang will be gone in January so we can have the necessary funds to strengthen our defense.
Xhaka will be gone in January, too. Adios!
Arsenal will acquire Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window.
Holding returns from injury and makes Arteta’s starting XI on a weekly basis, and is paired with Upamecano.
Bellerin and Tierney return to the starting XI and make huge impacts.
Arsenal beats Chelsea on the road.
Now, the resolutions…
I will be more positive about Arsenal’s performances.
I will happy finishing 7th in the Premier League.
I will be optimistic about the 2020-2021 season.
I will lose some weight and start exercising.
I will close my eyes when Mustafi gets beat on the counter-attack.
I will turn off the TV when Mustafi gets beat and allows another goal off the counter-attack.
Again, Happy New Year!
Cheers. Gunner1953
