Double swoop?

Two players I had written off becoming Gunners this summer look like they are on their way to becoming Gunners this summer.

Here’s what the UK media is reporting today…

David Ornstein of The Athletic reports goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale will transfer from Sheffield United to Arsenal for a fee of $32.8-million (USD), plus $8.2-million in add-ons. His contract will reportedly run for 4 years, with a one year option.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Martin Odegaard’s contract with Arsenal is also complete. Real Madrid has accepted a $54.7-million (USD) transfer fee. Odegaard’s contract will be for six years.

According to Chris Wheatley, Odegaard was at London Colney this morning. The Norwegian midfielder is double vaccinated, and Arsenal is hopeful he will be involved on Sunday.

The Mirror is reporting the Gunners will have this summer’s most expensive transfer window in football once they finalize their deals with Odegaard and Ramsdale. The total price tag: $129-million (USD).

Football London is reporting Odegaard and Ramsdale will sign their contracts today.

Stay tuned for the official announcements!

Cheers.
