The Race for Fourth is down to three – Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United. West Ham United is out of the race but will battle for a spot in either the Europa League or the Europa Conference League if they fail to qualify for the Champions League by winning this season’s Europa League title.
For Arsenal, this has been a season of streaks. You win a few, then you lose a few, however, right now the Gunners have won three in a row and can not afford to lose points any points their last four matches to stay ahead of Spurs and qualify for Europe’s biggest club tournament.
Next up for Arsenal is Leeds United, a club truly battling to stay out of the relegation zone, and hoping to remain in next season’s Premier League.
With that said, Leeds will come to town with a lot at stake. A win on Sunday could put Leeds six point clear of relegation territory, while a win for the Gunners would keep them ahead of Tottenham, and possibly level with Chelsea on points.
It looks like Takehiro Tomiyasu and Bukayo Saka will both be fit to play, while Ben White remains a question mark with a muscular injury. Steady Rob Holding could be called upon again this weekend to play along side Gabriel on the defense back line.
Not only is it important for Arsenal to keep a clean sheet on Sunday, but it is also vital for them to score goals. The Gunners goal differential needs to improve as the season begins to wind dow.
What a weekend this is shaping up to be. Every match is now a must win!
Cheers.
