Do you know what I hate the most about the international breaks? Everything!

Now being an American I guess the European qualifiers really don’t have a lot of meaning to us Yankees. Even though it’s fun to watch Arsenal’s world class players in action playing for their countries, I am always concerned of injury and what the long term impact would be on the player and on our club.

I’m also concerned about the long distance travel some of these lads have to make in a very short period of time. For instance, Lucas Torreira travelled all the way back to Uruguay. That’s a roundtrip of 13,800 miles! Let’s hope he gets frequent flyer points.

The good news…just heard Nicolas Pepe has returned to London from his international assignment with the Ivory Coast. Word has it he was allowed go home early because his duty for his home country in the African Cup went well into July and he had a limited break. Thank you Ivory Coast!

Am I selfish? Hell yes!

With all of that said I am very proud of Matteo Guendouzi. He’s on the French senior team for the very first time, and, he will be a major success. IMO this young man has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in Europe!

My final grip about the international breaks…there is no Arsenal football to watch!
