There has been some discussion about the lack of respect Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang receives from the world football community. The question bering asked…is he a world class striker? In my opinion, YES HE IS!
Just the other night on Sky Sports, pundit Gary Neville said that Aubameyang does not get the credit from other players despite his impressive goal scoring feats. Neville tagged Auba as “world class.”
Neville went on to say, “He is one of the best players we have got in the Premier League, but for some reason he doesn’t get the credit that others get. I think now is the time for us all to start recognizing the quality and brilliance of this player.”
Well said, Mr. Neville!
Even Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believe his forward ace does not need to win titles with Arsenal to be considered a world class striker. Arteta was pointing towards Tottenham’s Harry Kane who is hailed as world class despite not winning any silverware with Spurs.
Auba’s running mate Alexandre Lacazette chimed in and had this to say about his teammate, “I think people should talk more about Auba and what he is doing in the game because he is more than a goal scorer. He is working a lot for the team defensively and making space for the other striker.”
During his 25 months with Arsenal, Aubameyang has scored 51 goals in 82 appearances. He tied for the PL’s Golden Boot last season, and is currently tied with Jamie Vardy for first again this season. His goal scoring abilities are without question, spectacular! He also wears the club’s captains armband with pride and confiodence.
What more can I say but, YES, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a world-class striker!
