It’s crunch time on Tuesday night

So, here we go. Tuesday is Champions League Quarterfinal Night at Emirates Stadium, and Real Madrid is coming to town.

According to some reports out of Madrid, the Spanish giants will not have their usual squad to put on the pitch due to injury, but guess what, neither does Arsenal.

We already know the Arsenal injured, so here is Real Madrid’s current roster of players unable to play on Tuesday: Aurelien Tchouameni, Dani Ceballos, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, Danie Carvajal and Andriy Lunin.

Does this help Arsenal. Probably not. With the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric, Antonio Rudiger and Thibaut Courtois all available, the odds don’t really improve much for the Gunners.

Real Madrid are 6-1-3 in their last ten matches in all competitions. The Gunners are 4-4-2.

This is a huge night for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta does not want to go to Madrid next Wednesday down on the aggregate score. A big home win is necessary or else the chances for a trophy this season will probably vanish into thin air.

With all of that said, here is my starting XI for the Gunners on Tuesday night…

[4-3-3]

Martinelli, Merino, Saka

Partey, Odegaard, Rice

Lewis-Skelly, Kiwior, Saliba, Timber

Raya

Predicted final score: ARSENAL 2 – Real Madrid 2
