It’s great to see Gabriel Jesus back in training, but let’s keep him there for now

Arsenal has four matches remaining before the final international break of the season.

Should the club bring Gabriel Jesus back onto the pitch before the break, or should the club wait until matches resume on April 1st?

Jesus was rumored to have traveled with the club to Lisbon. Well, if he is in Portugal, he certainly did not make Mikel Arteta’s team sheet for the match. I find it hard to believe the player would have been used in this game. His knee injury required surgery plus extensive rehab, and now over three months later he is back in full training, I believe the club will give him a chance to regain full physical fitness and confidence in his knee until at least the Leeds United match.

The Gunners have done well without the Brazilian striker, however, we all know the team will do better with him on the pitch, but only if he is 100% healthy and mentally prepared to test the knee in the trenches of the Premier League.

It’s great to see his smiling face back in training, and I’m sure his presence alone will inspire his teammates, but, let’s hope Mikel Arteta remains level-headed regarding when and where Jesus returns to the pitch, because we are going to need him 100% during the run-in at the end of the season.

Cheers.
