Sorry folks, I had to take a short, unexpected break for a few days, however, I’m back and ready to talk about everything Arsenal!
First off, the Gunners return to action in just six days to face Leeds United on the road. The newly-promoted Leeds club is off to a decent start, and will be a tough opponent for the Gunners on Sunday.
With that said, let’s take a look at Arsenal’s next ten matches, and make some predictions…
Nov 22 – Leeds United (A) – The Gunners come home with a 2-1 victory. Saka, Aubameyang and Pepe start as the front three.
Nov 26 – Molde FK (A) – The Gunners win 2-0, and clinch a spot in the Europa League Round of 32.
Nov 29 – Wolves (H) – This is always a tough match-up, so I think maybe a 2-2 draw for this one.
Dec 3 – Rapid Vienna (H) – With a spot in the next round of the UEL already clinched, Arteta starts a young side. Final score, 1-1.
Dec 5 – Tottenham Hotspur (A) – A short trip to visit our north London neighbors will be in order in Decmeber. The Gunners will need to be firing on all cylinders for this one, but at the final whistle, Mourinho and his lads fall to the Gunners, 2-1.
Dec 10 – Dundalk (A) – Our final Europa League Group B game will have little meaning. Gunners show up, but draw, 2-2.
Dec 13 – Burnley (H) – Burnley is having a very tough season so far, however, this is always a tough game for Arsenal. In the end., however, the home side will win, 2-0.
Dec 15 – Southampton (H) – Theo Walcott returns to the Emirates wearing his boyhood club’s shirt once again. The Saints are playing pretty good right now, however, by the time this match is played, the Gunners will be playing better. Final, Gunners 3 – Southampton 1.
Dec 19 – Everton (A) – Carlo Ancelotti has this club moving forward in a positive direction right now and are making a lot of noise in the Premier League up to this point in the season. I think the Gunners could lose this one, 1-2.
Dec 22 – Manchester City (H) – I can’t wait for this Carabao Cup quarterfinal match-up. Arteta v Pepe is always an intriguing game to watch. Man City will have gotten their act together by now, so I see a tough match for Arsenal. They’ll finish 2-2 after 90 minutes, however, Arsenal will prevail in the shoot-out, 5-4, to advance to the Cup’s semifinals.
So, according to my predictions, the next ten Arsenal matches shape up to produce 6 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat.
I’ll take it!
Again, let’s hope all of our national team players return to north London healthy and fit, and ready to go for the long stretch of games ahead.
Cheers, and stay healthy and safe!
