No decision yet…the Premier League remains in limbo

After a four hour video conference meeting today, the Premier League announced no decision was reached on the resumption the 2019-2020 season.

The post-meeting statement read, “At a meeting of Premier League Shareholders today, clubs discussed possible steps towards planning to resume the 2019-2020 season, when it is safe and appropriate to do so.”

Views, opinions, ideas, proposals and concerns were all expressed in the meeting, however, no timeline was established.

All of the 92 remaining matches being played at neutral sites was also discussed. The Emirates Stadium is one of the stadiums that could be considered.

Clearly, English football will not resume until the UK government gives the ultimate green light, and concludes it is safe for matches to resume.

That decision could come sometime next week.
