There’s no doubt, Manchester City has become a dynasty

Ir’s hard to argue against the fact Manchester City is the best team in Europe, and arguably the world.

Winning the Treble (Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League) in the same season is no easy task, and one that hasn’t been done by an English club since Manchester United did it in 1999.

What Pep Guardiola has done in his tenure as the Citizens’ manager is really a testament to his football genius.

The good news for Arsenal fans is that Mikel Arteta is a first generation disciple of Guardiola. They worked side-by-side for 3 1/2 years at Manchester City before Arteta made his move to north London.

Mikel saw first-hand how to manage a football club, how to develop and handle players, and how to win, however, the mountain has gotten even taller for the Gunners to climb in order to reach the thin air Man City breathes.

Yes, City is a dynasty. They have won three consecutive Premier League titles (and five of the last six), numerous domestic cup wins, and now a Champions League trophy to add to their silverware display. They look unstoppable, and will undoubtedly remain a major power in European football at least while Guardiola is at the helm.

Arsenal, and the rest of the Premier League for that matter, need to step it up an notch, or two, or three. Otherwise, this will be City domination over the next few seasons.

The Gunners proved this season they can run neck and neck with the big guns, however, at the end, they lacked the overall quality and depth in their squad to win it all.

AFC is on the right track, a track that is so  familiar to the one Guardiola has used to paint his masterpiece at Manchester CIty.

Now, it’s incumbent upon the Gunners to continue to spend, to sign. to develop, and to fine tune a young squad to become the next Manchester City.

The market opens on Tuesday.

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
