After three Premier League match days, there is a host of clubs that have surpassed a lot of Premier League football watchers around the globe.
Let’s take a quick look at who’s hot, and who’s not…
Leeds United, Brighton and Hove, plus Newcastle United have all gotten off to solid starts this season. Newcastle United has been spending oil money, so that’s no real surprise. Leeds and Brighton have both earned 7 out of 9 points in the early going, but do they have the squad depth and overall talent to keep this momentum? I doubt it, however, both clubs should have middle table-type seasons.
Hats off to Fulham. So far, the London westsiders have 2 draws and 1 defeat. They opened with a draw v Liverpool at home, had a second draw v Wolves and then recorded a nice 3-2 win over Brentford last weekend. So far, they are the best of the newly-promoted clubs. Another newcomer Nottingham Forest has also surprised a few folks this August. They will cause some headaches for a lot of clubs this season.
Now the clubs that are still trying to find their way…
Chelsea has only 4 points after 3 matches. Will Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang come to the rescue?
Manchester United defeated Liverpool 2-1 on Monday, however, the Red Devils were previously slammed 4-0 by Brentford. This is a club in turmoil with Ronaldo undecided on where to play this season.
Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool squad find themselves in new territory – 16th place in the league table. I find it hard to believe the Reds will remain there much longer.
It’s a little baffling to see Leicester City so below par this season. Even with Jamie Vardy, the Foxes don’t have the players to compete for anything above mid-table. Their early performances have shown just that.
And then there is West Ham United. David Moyes’ club is really, really struggling. After a solid 2021/2022 season, the Hammers are winless after 3 games. Does this ring a bell from a year ago?
Obviously, there is a long way to go, and the table will go through many changes until the end of May, 2023. But for now, our beloved Gunners are on top of the heap! And that my friends, is no surprise!

An intriguing discussion is definitely worth comment. I do think that you should publish more on this subject, it may not be a taboo subject but usually people do not talk about such subjects. To the next! All the best!!
