Let’s have some fun and make some projections on how the Gunners will fare in their final Premier League matches of the season…
February 23 – Everton (home) – This is a very winnable game for the Gunners. Give us 3 points here.
March 7 – West Ham United (home) – Another winnable game. Add 3 more points to the list.
March 14 – Brighton and Hove Albion (away) – Yet another winnable game. 3 points.
March 22 – Southampton (away) – Always a tricky place to play, but a win here is very likely. 3 points.
April 4 – Norwich City (home) – Facing the 20th place team is never a given, but 3 points will come our way.
April 11 – Wolves (away) – Oh boy, I think this might be a draw. 1 point.
April 18 – Leicester City (home) – They beat us bad earlier in the season, and I think they will squeak out a win at the Emirates.
April 25 – Tottenham Hotspur (away) – A multi-tough derby, but who can go against our lads in this one. 3 points.
May 2 – Liverpool (home) – I am a firm believer in karma, so I think the Gunners will end Liverpool’s perfect season and will remain “The Only Invincibles.” 3 points.
May 9 – Aston Villa (away) – For some strange reason I see a draw here. 1 point.
May 17 – Watford (home) – Auba gets a hat trick and Arsenal gets 3 points.
TBD – The make-up game with Manchester City (away) – It really depends on when this game is scheduled. Let’s go with a draw and 1 point.
So, there are my projections for the remainder of Arsenal’s Premier League season.
If these projections come to pass, the Gunners will have totaled 61 league points. Where would this put us in the final standings? I’ll say 7th.
Cheers. Gunner1953
