Who is the most underrated, yet one of the most vital parts of the Arsenal success story this season?
Thomas Partey, that’s who.
The midfielder from Ghana has proven not only his worth, but also his incredible talent throughout this season. When healthy, Partey is the complete holding midfielder.
So far this season, he has started 14 matches, subbed on in four others, and has contributed two goals. Partey has also provided some pinpoint passing which lead to either shots on target or goals.
Thomas Partey is also the man who does a lot of the dirty work on defense. He provides not only cover for the back line, he also plugs holes in the defense and helps Granit Xhaka maintain control of the midfield.
Now at 29-years-old, Thomas is in the peak of his career, and the that couldn’t come at a better time for Arsenal.
Not only has he had success with Arsenal this season, Partey also captained his Ghana National Team in the 2022 World Cup. Even though they failed to advance out of the group stage round, Thomas and his teammates remain national heroes, especially for knocking rivals Nigeria out of the World Cup qualifiers.
The Ghana national plays with intensity, with heart, and with a real love for the game, and his club, and even though he doesn’t get the press or the accolades he serves, the Gunners would not be where they are without the contributions of Thomas Partey.
Thank you Thomas for every thing you do for the Arsenal Football Club.
Continued success, on and off the pitch.
Cheers.
