The Gunners appear to be back on track following Wednesday’s terrific 4-0 payback victory over Everton. That’s three wins in-a-row.
Now with a five point lead at the top of the table, Mikel Arteta’s squad meet one of the league’s bottom clubs on Saturday at Emirates Stadium.
Bournemouth is currently in 19th place, but just one point short of safety. The Gunners took care of business at Bournmouth on August 20th with a 3-0 win. A repeat performance would do quit well.
However, let’s not forget Arsenal tied Southampton 1-1 on October 23rd, then lost to Everton 1-0 on February 2nd. The Gunners are not immune from having poor showings against clubs at the bottom of the Premier League table. The Cherries will attempt to “park the bus” v Arsenal, and then rely on counterattacks for goals. I don’t see this as a real problem for Arteta’s squad, since the lads have learned to be patient and wait for their goal scoring opportunities. I predict a 3-0 win for Arsenal. But, the Gunners can not sit back with a five point lead over Man City, they need to attack, attack attack!
The big question remains, will Arteta rotate a lot of players into Saturday’s starting XI? With the Europa League Round of 16 match coming up on Thursday, this could be the chance for some of his regulars to catch their breath, but then again, his focus is clearly on the Premier League. We’ll see what happens.
With that said, if he makes a lot of changes, here’s who I suggest he starts v Bournemouth on Saturday…
[4-3-3]
Trossard, Nketiah, Saka
Partey, Smith Rowe, Vieira
Tierney, Gabriel, Holding, Tomiyasu
Turner
COYG!
Cheers.

Smith-Rowe will continue to be a hit and miss in the No8-CM role for now.
He doesnot seem ready for the defensive responsibilities that come with playing there.
And right now, the winger/striker position is studded with even Nelson, Marquinhos and Folarin poised to play ahead of him with Jesus, Martinelli, Saka, Eddie and Trossard the main guys.
I honestly feel its time we cash in on him. He needs to play that No10-AM role elsewhere. With experinece he will know how to enjoy to drop deeper and deeper like Iwobi is doing at Everton. But for now Emile is fun and enterprising at what he wants to do. It’s good we let him to elsewhere to be the protagonist.
He has to play.
We love him though. COYG!!!
