Arsenal needs Kieran Tierney

For me, one of the biggest disappointments this season has been the lack of Kieran Tierney on the pitch. The 22-year-old Scot has had only 9 starts and 2 subtitute appearances for the Gunners during the 2019-2020 season. He has spent more time in recovery than on the field. His absences have been the result of two major medical issues that have hindered any chance of Kieran making an impact for the club this season.

A double-hernia surgery in May, 2019 sidelined the left fullback until September 24th when he made his Arsenal debut in the Carabao Cup win v Nottingham Forest. Then, a nasty shoulder separation in the West Ham United game put an end to his season just as he was beginning to hit his stride.

Recently, we have seen photos and videos of the Scot in rehab, and all reports indicate he iwill make a full recovery from the shoulder surgery.

Yes, Arsenal needs this young man’s pace, spirit and overall talent. Let’s hope the 2020-2021 season will be a productive and health one for the lad from the Isle of Man.

Between Tierney and Chambers the Gunners have lost two very valuable assets during this trying season.

Cheers. Gunner1953
