In what appeared to be an improbable feat this season, Liverpool has finally been beaten in the Premiere League. Thanks to 19th place Watford, the Arsenal Football Club remains the one and only Premier League team to challenge a 38-game schedule and remain unbeaten.
Liverpool, arguably the best team in Europe and maybe the world, faced a Watford squad that is battling in the league’s relegation zone, but, today the Hornets came to play, ultimately handing Liverpool a 3-0 defeat. This ended the Reds 18-game league winning streak, and a 44-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League. This defeat also ended Liverpool’s chance to continue their run to an unbeaten season. This was their first Premier League loss in 423 days.
So, to make a long story short, Arsene Wenger’s 2003-2004 Gunners remain the true Invincibles of the Premier League!
