Here’s what Arsenal needs to accomplish in tonight’s friendly match v Chelsea…
- Provide a good show in front of a large crowd at Camping World Stadium.
- Continue to build momentum as the “real” matches grow closer.
- Play hard, but remember this is just a friendly, so avoid silly tackles and mistakes that can lead to injury.
- Allow the Gunners primary group of starters to play at least the first half together on the pitch.
- Provide opportunities for “on the bubble” players as well, regardless of the score.
- Don’t give away too much tactical strategy to your crosstown rivals in a preseason match.
All-in-all, this should be a good match to watch.
For those of you coming to Orlando tonight, I’ll see you there. And, for those of you watching on TV in England, or in other parts of the world, you had better take a nap this afternoon, because it will be a late night!
