Arsenal v Harry Kane and Bayern Munich in Champions League Quarterfinals!

Arsenal is back in the Champions League quarterfinals following a fourteen year absence.

On Friday morning, the club drew German powerhouse Bayern Munich, featuring none other than Harry Kane.

Before moving on, here is the list of the quarterfinal draws…

Arsenal v Bayern Munich

Atletico Madrid v Borussia Dortmund

PSG v Barcelona

Real Madrid v Manchester City

This is an impressive list of European football, with the Gunners finally joining this group of clubs after a very long absence.

Here’s what Edu Gaspar thought of the morning’s draw, “It’s a beautiful game to play. We are going to be playing against a team that are very experienced in the competition and the players that they have are amazing, but we have good momentum. We are really excited to face them and see if we can go through.”

Yes, Bayern has had some experience in Europe’s biggest tournament. They have appeared in the final 12 times, winning 6. The club’s last title was in 2020.

Without a doubt, this will be a tremendous two-legs of football. The first match will be played in Emirates Stadium on April 9th.

Bayern Munich finds them selves in a rarely unfamiliar place at this point of the Bundisliga season. They currently trail Bayer Leverkusen by 10 points on their league’s table. Leverkusen remains undefeated in their league campaign.

As a side note, Bayern will have no supporters in Emirates Stadium for the first leg. UEFA has banned Munich fans from that match due to throwing flares until the field at a recent away game. So, all 60,000 seats will be filled with Gooners!

Oh, and by the way, the winner of Arsenal’s draw will face either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the semifinals.
