In a gutsy and inspiring team performance, Arsenal has won a record 14th FA Cup with a 2-1 victory over crosstown rivals Chelsea.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s two goal master class proved to be the difference against a Chelsea squad that opened the game with flash and flair. However, once the Gunners settled in, down 0-1, the game took a quick turn to their favor with Aubameyang’s world class effort in the 67th minute proving to be the game winner!
Now, the north London club has secured a spot in the Europa League group stages with this win, and this means more money coming into the team’s treasury, too. This will hopefully convince the Arsenal Board to make the right decision, spend the cash and keep #14 at the Arsenal Football Club!
Could today be the kick start this club has been waiting for? I think so.
With today, and the emergence of Mikel Arteta as our manager, there has been a major turnaround with performances on the pitch. Even with the Gunners getting off to a bad restart in June, Arteta rallied his troops and put together a very strong finish, including wins over Liverpool, Manchester City and now, Chelsea! To say this isn’t encouraging would be foolish!
Now, there is a lot of work to be done in the brief summer break ahead. The club has only 28 days until they play Liverpool in the 2020 Community Shield, again at Wembley.
Gooners…wherever you are around the globe, take today, and the next few days to celebrate this amazing day! It’s been a rough ride this season, but today, tomorrow and always…
ARSENAL ARE, AND ALWAYS WILL BE, WINNERS OF THE 2020 FA CUP!
Cheers!
