Arsenal wins 7th league match in-a-row, outscoring opponents 31-3!

Since January 1st, the Gunners have been on a virtual tear through the Premier League. The team has recorded seven-straight wins: 5-0, 2-1, 3-1, 6-0, 5-0, 4-1, 6-0. That’s 31-3 in those seven matches.

Yes, Arsenal is averaging 4.43 Premier League goals per game since the start of the new year! Incredible to say the least.

Without question, Arsenal destroyed Sheffield United on Monday night. It was a masterclass all the way around.

With just eleven league matches to play, the race for the Premier League title is on. Currently the top three are: Liverpool 63 points, Manchester City 62, Arsenal 61. This could be an historic race to the finish line on May 18th.

Everything is currently going Mikel Arteta’s way, with a squad that is almost back to full strength on the injury front. Only Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Martinelli remain questionable for the weekend.

In twenty years I have been watching Arsenal play, this is the most impressive run of games I can remember. Everything is coming together so beautifully at just the right time, not only for the league games, but also for the upcoimng Champions League match v Porto on March 12th.

Yes, during the January transfer window we were screaming for a new striker in the transfer window, however, either Edu Gaspar and Arteta had a crystal ball, or they are just pure geniuses. You pick.

Anyway, what ever has happened since their trip to Dubai, let’s hope and pray this run continues through May. With a lot of very difficult matches to play, anything can and will happen, however, this squad has had the experience of a poor finish to last season to draw from. They have felt the pain of the title slipping away, so I believe that experience will go a long way into the stretch run for this season.
