Arsenal’s Kim Little receives Scottish honor

Arsenal’s Women’s club captain Kim Little has been ranked #7 in Scotland’s Top 50 Sporting Stars of the Decade.

Kim was in good company. Sir Alex Ferguson was ranked third, while tennis superstar Andy Murray finished #1 as the Scot’s top sporting star in the first decade of the 21st century. Little was the only female to make the Top 10.

This is quite a honor for the 29-year-old Scottish woman who has been playing professionally since joining Hibernian LFC at the age of 16.

During her first time in north London, Kim helped Arsenal win a Premier League and three Super League championships, along with FA Cup wins in 2011 and 2013.

Kim won titles and awards in both the U.S. and Australia before retuning to Arsenal in August, 2019.

Little has been a major player for Scotland’s international team as well. Since her first appearance in 2007, she has scored 59 goals in 137 international matches.

The attacking midfielder has also suffered through various injuries during her career, but has always had the determination to recover and come back stronger than ever.
