According to a report published in The Mirror, “Cristiano Ronaldo agrees transfer with Man City ahead of Premier League return.”
The 36-year-old superstar looks like he will return to Manchester, however, United fans will be sickened that their former icon will be playing across town with rivals City.
Ronaldo spent 2003-2009 playing for the Red Devils. During his time playing under Sir Alex Ferguson, he made 196 appearances and scored 84 goals.
Collectively, the Portuguese sensation has scored 127 international goals, as well as 674 goals for his domestic clubs during his professional career.
The Mirror report indicated Ronaldo has agreed to personal terms with Man City, and after negotiations with Juventus, the player and club have shaken on a deal.
Once Tottenham’s Harry Kane was off the table for City, things quickly switched to Ronaldo, who asked not to play in Juventus’ Serie A opening match of the season on Sunday.
The defending Premier League champions, already a powerhouse, look to add one of, if not the best, football player in the world to their roster. Ronaldo would join the likes of Ederson, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Ilkay Giundogan, Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Phil Foden Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez, just to name few of City’s bigger names.
As the Gunners work to fill their roster, hoping for a top four finish in the league, Manchester City is making strides for world domination!
