A quiet Tuesday has now produced a major story coming out of north London. Tottenham Hotspur has sacked manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy made the announcement this afternoon…
“We are extremely reluctant to make this change and its not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste. Regrettably, domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing. It falls to the Board to make the difficult decisions, but we do so with the club’s best interests. I should like to thank him and his coaching staff for all they have contributed. They will always be welcome here.”
Tottenham currently stands 14th in the Premier League. Pochettino guided Spurs to the Champions League final last season before losing 2-0 to Liverpool in Madrid. Pochettino won no trophies during his 5 1/2 years at Hotspur.
No replacement has been named, but an update on the new coaching set-up would be made in due course. Tottenham travels to West Ham United for a Premier League match-up on Saturday.
After several weeks of hearing and reading the manager drama at Arsenal, Tottenham has made the first bold move.

Borussia Dortmund has been added to the Arsenal 2026/2027 pre-season schedule with the game to be played in Emirates Stadium on August 9th. This will be the 2026 Emirates Cup match.
