Can the Gunners get off to a fast start this season?
The schedule makers were favorable to Arsenal over the first month of match days this season, so hopefully, Mikel Arteta and his squad can pick-up where they left off in the preseason.
Here’s a look at the Gunners first five matches…
August 5 – Crystal Palace (A)
August 13 – Leicester City (H)
August 20 – Bournemouth (A)
August 27 – Fulham (H)
August 31 – Aston Villa (H)
In my humble opinion, the Gunners can win all five of these matches, giving them 15 points to start their Premier League campaign. I think anything short of that success will be a little disappointing since the club is hungry to prove themselves worthy of the preseason hype they have been receiving.
As we all know, the season is long and hard, full of twists and turns along the way, however, with limited injuries to key players, continued belief in Arteta’s project, and of course, a little luck, this can be a great season.
Let’s hope we can get off to a flying start in 2022/2023!
